The Balance Diaries is mental wellness snail mail club created to bring you a few moments of peace and some community each month.
I'm Cate, a wellness enthusiast who's tried a lot in the name of mindfulness and mental balance. Haven't we all? Sometimes it feels impossible to juggle it all, take care of ourselves so we can sustainably care for those we love, and still somehow have some fun along the way.
Each month, I send you an envelope with:
- 3 simple/"free or from your pantry" activity cards
- 1 big/"needs a little planning" activity card
- a thoughtful journal or reflection prompt
- A warm blog post-like letter update from me where I share my journey
Simple activities range from a small page to color (colored pencil pack included) to a very successful and simple paleo, gluten-free recipe. These are supposed to be self-contained and doable in 15 minutes or less.
Bigger activities might be something like a relaxing bubble bath evening experience, which may involve a couple smaller tasks beforehand and blocking out an hour or two. They're very worth the effort, though.
Opening each envelope is a beautiful experience to look forward to, and you get to do so knowing that you'll get to do the things inside along with everyone else in the club. I also only share the best activities that actually worked for me and that I think will be worth your energy.
